WEB SITE SETUP INSTRUCTIONS

ADMINISTRATOR CONTROL PANEL

In your browser, type in your web site address followed by '/siteadmin' and log in there with your current username and password.  Here you will be able to add, delete, and/or edit email accounts on your virtal web site.  You will also be able to view the amount of disk space your virtual web site and email accounts are using.

USER CONTROL PANEL

In your browser, type in your web site address followed by '/personal' and log in there with your current username and password.  Here you will be able to change your password, add alias email addresses, edit email forwarding, and set up an autoresponder message.

FTP

Once your domain name is transferred to Netastic and we have set up your web space, username, and password you may follow the directions below to load your web pages to your new web site:

1. If you are publishing (uploading) your web pages to your main web space, set the host name in your FTP software to your web site address i.e.: www.yourdomainname.com. 
2. If your are publishing to your "user" web space (www.yourdomainname.com/~yourusername) again set the host name to your web site address i.e.: www.yourdomainname.com.
3. Enter in your username and password where the FTP software asks for it.  Initiate the FTP session.  (Click on "Connect" or something similar.)
4. If you are publishing (uploading) your web pages to your main web space, publish to the '/web' directory then skip step 5.  If you are publishing to your user web space skip this step and go to step 5.
5. If you are publishing (uploading) your web pages to your user web space publish to the '/users/yourusername/web' directory.

*Important* -- if your home page is not named 'index.html' you will either need to rename it to 'index.html' before publishing or delete the temporary 'index.html' that was automatically created by our server when the web space was created.

MS FRONTPAGE

1. If you are publishing (uploading) your web pages to your main web space, set the host name to your web site address i.e.: 'http://www.yourdomainname.com'.  Then skip to step 3.
2. If you are publishing to your user web space i.e.: 'www.netastic.net/~username' set the host name to http://www.netastic.net.  Then skip to step 4.
3. Set the username to 'webmaster' and the password to whatever was entered when the space was created and then connect.
4. Use your individual username (not 'webmaster') and individual password and then connect.

MS FrontPage will automatically put you into the proper directory if you follow the instructions above.
